Not that lot from "Trumpton?"

...Pugh, Pugh, Barney Magrew, Chocolate, Dibble & Grub? They were firemen weren't they - or has the RA affected my brain?

You can have Pugh, Barney Magrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub, Julie - and I`ll have the Chocolate.

Hi Ellie, and welcome to the madhouse!

You'll soon come to realise, Ellie, that Julie is not quite - how shall I say it "right" if you get my drift. She tends to get very excited about anything in a uniform - even if it's knitted bunny in a sailor suit. We tend to humour her as much as we can . The poor soul can't help it. It all started at Will and Kate's wedding. She'd just made a lunge for the D of E, standing on tiptoes in her 9" platforms, when Sheila inadvertantly let off a volley of cannonballs in The Mall. Julie tumbled backwards into Dor's tea trolley and ended up on a roll, out through the front door having picked up a guardsman on the way. She's not been the same since and I dread to think what happened to the guardsman.

Can someone point Ellie in the direction of our Royal Wedding Adventure?

Well, it was true about Jean doing the cartwheels - who can ever forget the sight of her pink spotted bloomers? But as for Doreen being sensible and sedate............................. if she didn`t have me to keep an eye on her there`s no telling where she`d end up.

Ask her what happened in the igloo when we were doing winter sports - the eskimos are still traumatised.

Now I am intrigued! However, what goes on in some igloos is best kept secret. Smile

Oh dear! Got as far as page 3 - Doreen's mention about "shimmering pinstripes", Kathleen's response about a deckchair and had to abandon the computer in a rush for the loo!!!

LOL

This is not getting the housework done but I'm going back to read the rest.

Dorothy - much as I hate getting angry with a good friend, you STILL haven't returned my pink and yellow spotted bloomers and I need them desperately! Please return in plain brown paper asap. I know you have used them as a sailing aid as they were seen tied to your windsurfing board when you were cockle picking on Morecambe beach yeterday.
